Following our statutory public consultation for proposed improvements to M5 Junction 10, we have now published a summary report of the main findings. We had a great response and would like to thank everyone who completed our survey and participated in our events. On 4 September 2020, Highways England received notice from the Department for Transport that the Public Inquiry for the M2 junction 5 improvements scheme will be held on Monday 9 November 2020 starting at 10am.

Our proposals will see significant improvements to M5 Junction 10, a new road linking Junction 10 to West Cheltenham and widening of the A4019 Tewkesbury Road. Although you don’t need permission, it’s important that you let us know if you’re going to do any of these improvements. Government Activity

The preferred public option was Option 2, which involves upgrading the existing junction with a grade separated roundabout centred on the existing junction. On 16 June 2021, we published our preferred route announcement stating that we were progressing with Option 2.
