We want you to make your home your own but you may need to get approval before you make any improvements. It’s important that you get the right support when you leave hospital. We can help with minor repair and adaptations to much larger projects – so you can get home as smoothly as possible. To make sure you’re not at risk, we will always check for asbestos before approving any home improvement works.
To access, please approach from the Pond Farm Road / Sutton Baron Road junction. The latest information about this work, can be found on the project webpage. The drill digs a hole in the ground, which is then filled with concrete; a number of these, side by side, form a wall and allows us to start removing earth from the area safely. Following our statutory public consultation for proposed improvements to M5 Junction 10, we have now published a summary report of the main findings. We had a great response and would like to thank everyone who completed our survey and participated in our events. On 4 September 2020, Highways England received notice from the Department for Transport that the Public Inquiry for the M2 junction 5 improvements scheme will be held on Monday 9 November 2020 starting at 10am.
- During this time, the company who built the property are liable for any snagging or repairs the property may need.
- If you, or someone that you live with, are disabled, you might be able to get a disabled facilities grant for adaptations or providing facilities for the disabled person.
- A total of 579 survey responses were received during the ten-week consultation period.
- Tenants can make improvements to their homes provided certain conditions are met.
You might also be able to find local grants to help with things like insulating your home from Simple Energy Advice. If your home is in need of repair, your landlord might also be responsible for doing them. Helping you get around at home so you can care for someone who lives with you and needs care. You’ll have to pay the SMI loan back, but usually only when you sell your home or give it to someone else. Find out if you can get SMI and what to think about before you apply. Improvements Where We Will Not Give Permission
The preferred public option was Option 2, which involves upgrading the existing junction with a grade separated roundabout centred on the existing junction. On 16 June 2021, we published our preferred route announcement stating that we were progressing with Option 2. For more information on our previous options consultation and preferred route announcement, please see the relevant documents in the Further Information section to the right. The public inquiry into our proposals to make improvements to the M2 junction 5 has finished.
Our proposals will see significant improvements to M5 Junction 10, a new road linking Junction 10 to West Cheltenham and widening of the A4019 Tewkesbury Road. Although you don’t need permission, it’s important that you let us know if you’re going to do any of these improvements. However if the property is in defects, these, or any other improvements, are not allowed. You can do this by by sending the form using the provided pre-paid envelope.
